Meet the first Nigerian to be appointed as minister in Canada: Mr Kaycee Madu, an Igbo man

While Nigeria has been infamously known for scammers and criminals, some Nigerians are still making us proud overseas. An example of such is Mr Kaycee Madu.

He was elected as member of parliament, representing the district of Edmonton, Canada, earlier this year. He just got appointed as the Minister of Municipal Affairs, Alberta, Canada. This means that he is both a member of parliament, and a minister at the same time.

This news is a source of pride to all Igbos and Nigerians at large.

Kaycee Madu is an Igbo man from Umuokirka community in Ahiezu Mbaise local government area, Imo state, Nigeria. He as a wife (Emem) and three children. He studied law at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, after which he migrated to Canada and established a law firm. He comes from a humble background, in a family of 11 children and uneducated parents. He worked hard, and through determination, has made history for himself and for the country.
